sol cabanas
location: situated on the beach some three miles from San Miguel lies the medium class sol cabanas del caribe. only one are two storeys high, the pink and white buildings are set in simple gardens that lead to the pool and sea immediately in front of the hotel are rocky inlets so beach shoes are useful, but to either side of these are fine sandy beaches
Facilities: there is peaceful open air lobby, small swimming pool and children's pool, a tennis court, shop, mopeds for hire and thatched sunshades on the beach - from here you can book watersports including diving, waterskiing, windsurfing, snorkeling and pedaloes. there are two bars, restaurant and coffee shop with terrace overlooking the sea
Accommodation: All rooms (48) have a separate sitting area, airconditioning, shower and terrace with seaview
Opinion: A small, simple but clean and friendly hotel. one of the delights is being able to snorkel straight from the beach and to feed bread to the shoals of colorful tropical fish
